A disposable visitor coat is a lightweight, single-use PP spunbond non-woven over-garment with a shirt collar, elastic cuffs and press-stud or velcro closure. Worn by hospital visitors, lab technicians, auditors and food-plant staff, it keeps everyday clothing covered and prevents cross-contamination. WinHyCare supplies it in white and light blue, sizes M–XXL, packed one per bag.

Why choose this disposable visitor coat

  • Breathable PP spunbond non-woven (25–50 gsm) keeps the wearer cool over routine visits and shifts
  • Shirt collar with front opening for a smart, lab-coat appearance over street clothes
  • Elastic cuffs grip the wrist and stop sleeves riding up during handling and inspection
  • Press-stud or velcro front closure for quick, tool-free donning and removal
  • Single-use design breaks the cross-contamination chain between visitors and controlled areas
  • Economical bulk packing — one piece per bag, fifty bags per carton — for high-footfall sites

What is a disposable visitor coat?

A disposable visitor coat — also called a visitor gown or single-use lab coat — is a lightweight over-garment worn briefly over everyday clothing when a person enters a controlled, clinical or hygienic area. Its purpose is to provide a clean, uniform outer layer that protects the wearer's clothes from soiling and, more importantly, prevents fibres, dust and micro-organisms carried on street clothing from contaminating the area being entered.

WinHyCare visitor coats are made from PP (polypropylene) spunbond non-woven fabric, a soft, breathable and low-lint material. Cut like a conventional lab coat with a shirt collar, a full front opening and long sleeves finished with elastic cuffs, the coat slips on over normal clothes in seconds and is discarded after use — so there is no laundering, no shared-garment risk and no need to keep an inventory of sized cloth coats for occasional users.

Material, weight and construction

The coat is made from PP spunbond non-woven in weights from 25 to 50 gsm. Lighter 25–35 gsm fabric suits short visits and warm environments where breathability matters most, while heavier 40–50 gsm fabric gives a more substantial feel and better cover for longer wear in laboratories and processing areas. The fabric is soft against the skin, quiet in movement and produces very little lint, which matters in cleanrooms and food zones.

Construction follows a familiar lab-coat pattern: a shirt collar, a front placket closed with press studs or a velcro strip, set-in long sleeves and elasticated cuffs that seal at the wrist. The elastic cuffs are a key feature — they stop loose sleeves catching on equipment or trailing across work surfaces and samples. Seams are bonded and stitched for the strength needed to don and remove the coat repeatedly through a busy day of visitors.

Where visitor coats are used

Visitor coats are a staple wherever people who are not part of the regular staff need to enter a hygienic or controlled space. In hospitals they are issued to relatives, attendants and visitors entering wards, ICUs and neonatal units. In laboratories and diagnostic centres they cover technicians, students and visiting inspectors. In pharmaceutical cleanrooms and food-processing plants they are mandatory for auditors, contractors, drivers and factory visitors who must not introduce contamination onto the production floor.

Because the coat is cheap and single-use, a site can keep a stock of bagged coats at the entrance, hand one to each visitor, and dispose of it on exit — far simpler than laundering and tracking reusable coats. WinHyCare supplies the coats in white and light blue so a facility can colour-code visitors against staff, and in sizes M to XXL to fit the full range of adult visitors.

Packaging and supply

Each visitor coat is folded and sealed in its own polybag — one piece per bag — which keeps it clean until the moment of use and makes hand-out at a reception or gate desk quick and hygienic. Bags are then packed fifty to a carton for easy storage and stock control at high-footfall entrances.

Disposable Visitor Coat — Frequently Asked Questions

What is a disposable visitor coat made from?
It is made from PP (polypropylene) spunbond non-woven fabric in weights of 25–50 gsm. The fabric is soft, breathable and low-lint, making it comfortable for short visits and suitable for clean and controlled areas.
What is the difference between a visitor coat and a lab coat?
They are essentially the same garment used in different settings. A disposable visitor coat is handed to non-staff entering a hospital, lab, pharma or food area, while a disposable lab coat is the routine single-use cover for technicians. Both share the shirt collar, front opening, long sleeves and elastic cuffs.
What sizes and colours are available?
Visitor coats are available in sizes M, L, XL and XXL, in white and light blue. The two colours let a facility colour-code visitors separately from staff.
What closure does the coat use?
The front placket closes with press studs or a velcro strip, depending on the version ordered. Both allow quick, tool-free donning and removal, which is ideal for a steady flow of visitors at an entrance.
Are the coats suitable for food-processing plants?
Yes. The low-lint PP spunbond fabric and elastic cuffs make the coats suitable for factory visitors, drivers and auditors entering food-processing and packing areas where loose clothing fibres and soiling must be controlled.
How are visitor coats packaged?
Each coat is sealed individually in its own polybag — one piece per bag — and bags are packed fifty to a carton. Individual bagging keeps each coat clean until use and makes hand-out at a reception or gate desk quick and hygienic.
Can WinHyCare supply visitor coats in bulk for hospitals and factories?
Yes. We supply visitor coats in bulk cartons with the colour, weight and size mix configured to your requirement, suitable for high-footfall hospital entrances, laboratories, pharma units and food plants.
Do you deliver visitor coats across India, the Middle East & Africa?
Yes. WinHyCare is a Dubai-headquartered supplier and exporter; visitor coats and the full disposables range are delivered to hospitals, labs, pharma and food facilities across the Middle East, Africa and India — exported from our Dubai HQ and warehouse, with India service via our Hyderabad centre.
