A disposable isolation gown is a lightweight single-use protective garment worn over uniforms to guard against contamination during patient care and routine clinical tasks. WinHyCare supplies PP spunbond non-woven isolation gowns with a velcro tie at the neck, a tie at the back and knitted or elastic cuffs — breathable, economical and supplied non-sterile in bulk, or sterile on request.

Why choose this disposable isolation gown

  • Single-layer PP spunbond non-woven — breathable and lightweight for all-day wear
  • Velcro tie at the neck and a tie at the back for quick donning and a secure overlap
  • Knitted or elastic cuffs keep sleeves in place and let gloves be pulled over the wrist
  • Available 16–50 gsm so you can match weight to the level of protection and budget
  • Wide colour range — light green, light blue, white and yellow for ward or zone coding
  • Supplied non-sterile in economical bulk cartons; EO-sterile on request

What is a disposable isolation gown?

A disposable isolation gown is a loose, single-use cover garment worn over a uniform or scrubs to create a barrier between the wearer and their environment during patient care, examinations and other routine clinical tasks. It protects the wearer's clothing and skin from light splashes and soiling, and helps stop staff carrying micro-organisms from one patient or area to the next. Because it is worn once and discarded, it removes the laundering and cross-contamination risks of reusable cloth gowns and is well suited to high-turnover use such as ward rounds, isolation cubicles and visitor access.

WinHyCare supplies these gowns in PP (polypropylene) spunbond non-woven — a soft, breathable fabric that drapes comfortably and lets air and moisture vapour pass through, so it stays comfortable over a long shift. The gown is cut with a wrap-around back, full-length sleeves and a tie system, making it a practical general-purpose choice for low-to-moderate fluid tasks where a full impervious surgical gown would be unnecessary.

Material and barrier level

The fabric is PP spunbond non-woven, available from a feather-light 16 gsm up to a sturdier 50 gsm. Lighter weights (16–25 gsm) suit visitor access, examinations and dry tasks where breathability and economy matter most; mid weights (30–50 gsm) give a more robust barrier for general nursing and isolation work. Spunbond PP is naturally lint-low, latex-free and skin-friendly, and resists dry-particle and splash contamination.

It is important to position this correctly: a plain PP gown is breathable rather than waterproof. It handles incidental splashes and contact but is not intended for fluid-heavy procedures or work where liquid strike-through must be blocked. For those situations WinHyCare supplies a PE-coated isolation gown, which laminates a polyethylene film onto the non-woven, or a fully waterproof CPE gown. Choose the plain PP gown for breathable, everyday protection and step up to the coated options when fluid resistance is the priority.

Fit, closure and sizing

Each gown fastens with a velcro tie at the neck and a tie at the back, so it can be put on quickly and the wrap-around panel overlaps to cover the back of the uniform. Knitted or elastic cuffs close the sleeve ends snugly at the wrist, holding the sleeve down and allowing examination gloves to be pulled over the cuff for a continuous barrier from glove to gown.

Standard sizes are 115×137 cm and 120×140 cm (chest width × length), generous dimensions that fit most adults over their normal clothing, and gowns can be made to other sizes as required. The free-size cut means a single stock item suits a wide range of staff and visitors, simplifying procurement for busy departments.

Packaging and supply

Isolation gowns are supplied non-sterile, packed 10 pieces per bag and 10 bags per carton (100 pieces per carton), which keeps cost per gown low and makes them easy to distribute to wards, clinics and entrances. Where a sterile gown is needed — for example in a clean procedure area — WinHyCare can supply EO-sterilised stock on request.

As a Dubai-headquartered supplier and exporter, WinHyCare offers the full colour and weight range in bulk for hospital procurement, infection-control programmes and tender supply. Gowns are supplied to ISO 9001 / ISO 13485 quality standards and delivered across the Middle East, Africa and India — exported from our Dubai HQ and warehouse, with India service via our Hyderabad centre, with stock held at our Dubai HQ and warehouse for larger and export orders.

Disposable Isolation Gown — Frequently Asked Questions

What material is the disposable isolation gown made from?
It is made from PP (polypropylene) spunbond non-woven fabric, available from 16 to 50 gsm. PP spunbond is breathable, lightweight, latex-free and low-lint, which makes it comfortable for all-day wear during nursing and isolation tasks.
Is the PP isolation gown waterproof?
No — a plain PP gown is breathable and handles incidental splashes and contact, but it is not impervious to liquid. For fluid-heavy work choose our PE-coated isolation gown, which adds a polyethylene film, or our fully waterproof CPE gown with thumb loops.
Are the isolation gowns sterile?
They are supplied non-sterile as standard, packed 10 per bag and 10 bags per carton. EO-sterilised gowns can be supplied on request for use in clean procedure areas. Please specify your requirement when ordering.
What sizes and colours are available?
Standard sizes are 115×137 cm and 120×140 cm, and gowns can be made to other dimensions as required. Colours include light green, light blue, white and yellow, with other colours available on request for ward or zone coding.
Can WinHyCare supply isolation gowns in bulk for hospital tenders?
Yes. Isolation gowns are supplied in bulk cartons (10 pieces per bag, 10 bags per carton) for hospital procurement, infection-control programmes and tender supply, with the full colour and weight range available and batch coding on request.
What is the minimum order quantity and how do I get a price?
These gowns are a bulk B2B item sold by the carton, so pricing depends on the gsm weight, colour and order volume. Share your required weight, size, colour and quantity and we will send a quotation; volume pricing applies for larger and tender orders.
Do you deliver isolation gowns across India, the Middle East & Africa?
Yes. WinHyCare is a Dubai-headquartered supplier and exporter; isolation gowns and the full disposables range are delivered to hospitals, clinics, labs and distributors across the Middle East, Africa and India — exported from our Dubai HQ and warehouse, with India service via our Hyderabad centre, with stock held at our Dubai HQ and warehouse for larger orders.
What is the difference between an isolation gown and a surgical gown?
An isolation gown is a lightweight, general-purpose cover for nursing, isolation and visitor use and is usually non-sterile. A surgical gown is a sterile, reinforced SMS garment for the operating theatre with a higher critical-zone barrier. Choose the isolation gown for routine, low-to-moderate fluid tasks.
