What is a disposable surgeon cap?
A disposable surgeon cap — also called a doctor cap or tie-back cap — is a single-use head cover shaped to sit close to the scalp and fastened at the back with two self-ties or held by an elastic forehead band. Its purpose is to contain the wearer's hair, dandruff and skin flakes so they cannot fall into a sterile field, onto a product, or into a sample. Because it is worn once and discarded, it removes the laundering and re-contamination risks of a cloth cap.

Two fabrics are offered: PP spunbond at 20–35 gsm for a light, breathable everyday cap, and SMS (spunbond–meltblown–spunbond) at 25–35 gsm where a denser, lower-linting barrier is needed near critical zones. Both are antistatic-friendly, latex-free and soft against the forehead so the cap can be worn comfortably through a long operating list or production shift.
The cap comes in two fastening styles — rear ties for a fully adjustable fit, or a sewn-in elastic forehead band for quick donning — and can be produced machine-made for volume or hand-made for specialised orders.
