A disposable dental bib is a single-use patient towel clipped around the neck during dental treatment to protect the patient's clothing from water, saliva and debris. WinHyCare supplies 3-ply bibs — two plies of absorbent 33 gsm tissue over a waterproof PE film backing — sized 33 × 45 cm in white, blue, green, purple or yellow, packed 125 per bag in multiple bags per carton.

Why choose this dental bib

  • Three-layer build — two absorbent tissue plies over a waterproof PE film backing
  • Absorbent front soaks up water spray, saliva and rinse while the PE layer keeps clothing dry
  • Compact 33 × 45 cm size suits the dental chair and clips neatly with bib holders or napkin clips
  • Choice of clinic colours — white, blue, green, purple and yellow — to match practice branding
  • Single-use and discarded after each patient to support dental infection control
  • Packed 125 per bag in bulk cartons for busy multi-chair dental and hygienist practices

What is a disposable dental bib?

A disposable dental bib — also called a patient towel or dental napkin — is a single-use sheet clipped around a patient's neck during dental and oral treatment to protect their clothing from water spray, saliva, rinse, blood and debris. A fresh bib is fitted for every patient and discarded afterwards, which is a basic and important part of cross-infection control in the dental surgery.

WinHyCare dental bibs are a three-layer product: two plies of soft, absorbent tissue face the patient and a single ply of PE (polyethylene) film backs them. The tissue soaks up the fine water spray, saliva and rinse generated during treatment, while the PE film forms a waterproof barrier so nothing soaks through onto the patient's clothing. The bib clips on with standard dental bib holders, chains or napkin clips.

Material and 3-ply construction

Each bib combines two plies of 33 gsm absorbent tissue paper with a PE film backing — three layers in total. The double tissue front gives good absorbency for the water and aerosol typical of scaling, drilling and rinsing, while the PE layer keeps the patient dry underneath. The 33 × 45 cm size is sized for the dental chair, covering the chest without being bulky.

The bibs come in a range of clinic colours — white, blue, green, purple and yellow — so a practice can colour-code by day or treatment, or match the bib to its branding and decor. The soft tissue surface is comfortable against the neck and chest, and the whole bib is light, quiet and easy to clip on and remove.

Where dental bibs are used

Dental bibs are used throughout dental clinics and surgeries, on every dental chair, by dental hygienists during scaling and cleaning, in orthodontics, in ENT and in minor oral and maxillofacial procedures. Anywhere there is water spray, saliva or rinse, the bib keeps the patient clean and dry and contributes to the chain of single-use infection control.

Because each bib is used once and thrown away, there is no laundering and no risk of carrying contamination from one patient to the next. The waterproof backing protects clothing fully, which patients notice and appreciate, and the colour range lets practices keep a consistent, professional look across their chairs.

Packaging and bulk supply

Dental bibs are packed 125 pieces per bag, with multiple bags to a carton, so a busy practice can keep one bag at the chairside and the rest stored clean in the carton. Colour, size and ply can be supplied to OEM specification, and bib holders or napkin clips can be sourced alongside the bibs.

Dental Bib — Frequently Asked Questions

What is a disposable dental bib made from?
It is a three-layer product: two plies of absorbent 33 gsm tissue face the patient and a single PE film backing makes it waterproof. The tissue soaks up water spray, saliva and rinse while the PE layer keeps the patient's clothing dry.
What size are the dental bibs?
The standard size is 33 × 45 cm, sized for the dental chair to cover the chest without being bulky. Other sizes can be supplied to OEM specification.
What colours are available?
Dental bibs are available in white, blue, green, purple and yellow, so a practice can colour-code by day or treatment or match the bib to its branding and decor.
Are dental bibs waterproof?
Yes. The PE film backing forms a waterproof barrier so water spray, saliva and rinse absorbed by the tissue front do not soak through onto the patient's clothing.
How are dental bibs fixed to the patient?
They clip on with standard dental bib holders, chains or napkin clips, which can be sourced alongside the bibs. A fresh bib is fitted for each patient and discarded afterwards.
Why use disposable dental bibs?
A single-use bib is fitted for every patient and thrown away, which is a basic part of dental cross-infection control. There is no laundering and no risk of carrying contamination from one patient to the next.
How are dental bibs packed?
They are packed 125 pieces per bag, with multiple bags to a carton, so a busy practice can keep one bag at the chairside and store the rest clean in the carton.
