What is a disposable adult bib?
A disposable adult bib is a single-use mealtime protector worn around an adult's neck to keep food, drink and spills off their clothing during eating or feeding. It is widely used for elderly, frail and dependent people who may find eating difficult, and it preserves the person's dignity and comfort while saving carers the laundry and changing that spills would otherwise create. After the meal the bib is simply removed and thrown away.

The absorbent front is 33 gsm white paper, soft against the skin and ready to soak up dribbles, sauce and drinks; the backing is a 15 gsm blue PE film that acts as a waterproof barrier so nothing reaches the clothing. The combination keeps the wearer dry and clean throughout the meal. The bib measures 37 × 68 cm, long enough to cover the chest and reach over the lap.
The defining feature is the fold-out crumb-catcher pocket along the bottom edge, which opens out to roughly 16 cm and forms a trough that collects dropped food, spilled drink and crumbs.
