A disposable boot cover is a tall, single-use overshoe that extends up the calf to the knee, giving far more coverage than a standard ankle-height shoe cover. Why choose this disposable boot covers
- Knee-high cut covers the calf and knee — far more coverage than ankle-height shoe covers
- Microporous film or PP + PE coated fabric gives a fluid-resistant, breathable barrier
- Tie fastenings at the top hold the cover securely on the calf during movement
- 60 gsm weight balances durability with comfort for longer wear
- Clean white colour suits clinical, cleanroom and inspection environments
- Packed one pair per bag, 100 pairs per carton, for ready single-pair issue
What are disposable boot covers?
A disposable boot cover is a tall single-use overshoe that pulls on over the foot and lower leg and extends up to the knee. Where an ordinary shoe cover protects only the foot and ankle, a knee-high boot cover shields the calf and knee as well — the part of the leg most exposed to splashes, run-off and spray during high-fluid or low-level work. It is worn once and discarded, removing any laundering or barrier-loss concern.
WinHyCare boot covers are cut 37×46 cm to reach knee height and are secured with ties at the top so they stay up on the calf rather than sliding down. They are offered in two fabrics: a microporous film that resists fluid while staying breathable, and a PP + PE-coated non-woven that pairs a soft non-woven face with a fluid-resistant coating. Both are supplied in white at 60 gsm.
Material, coverage and barrier
The microporous version uses a film whose micro-pores let water vapour and air pass — so the leg stays cooler and drier — while blocking liquid and particulate strike-through. The PP + PE-coated version laminates a polyethylene barrier to a PP non-woven base, giving a fluid-resistant outer face with a softer, lower-lint surface. At 60 gsm both are substantial enough to resist tearing during a shift yet remain light to wear.
The knee-high coverage is the key difference from a shoe cover. In wet theatres, hose-down areas and low-level cleaning tasks, fluids run down past the ankle line where short covers leave the calf exposed. A boot cover extends the barrier up the leg, and the top ties keep it in place so the protected zone stays sealed throughout the task.
Fit, fastening and white finish
Each boot cover is pulled on like a tall sock and tied at the top of the calf, so it grips the leg and resists slipping during walking, kneeling and bending. The single-size cut accommodates a wide range of leg and footwear sizes, and the ties let the wearer adjust the snugness. The clean white colour shows soiling clearly — useful where staff change covers as soon as they are contaminated — and suits clinical, cleanroom and inspection settings where a neutral, visibly-clean appearance matters.
Because they are issued by the pair, boot covers are packed one pair to a bag so a worker can take exactly what they need without opening a bulk pack, keeping the remaining stock clean and sealed.
Packaging and bulk supply
Boot covers are supplied one pair per bag with 100 pairs per carton, so a carton issues 100 complete sets — convenient for theatre suites, lab blocks and workshops that hand out covers per visit or per shift. The individual bagging keeps each pair clean until the moment of use.
