What is a disposable balaclava hood?
A disposable balaclava hood is a one-piece head cover that extends down over the neck and shoulders, with a built-in 2-ply mask across the mouth and an elasticated opening around the face. Where a cap covers only the scalp, the balaclava covers everything the head and face can shed — scalp hair, beard, sideburns, neck hair and exhaled breath — so it is the most complete single-use head-and-face barrier short of a full coverall hood.

Material, coverage and fit
The fabric is breathable PP non-woven, offered at 15 gsm for a light, economical hood or 18 gsm for a little more strength and opacity. Both weights are latex-free and soft against the skin so the hood can be worn comfortably over a full shift despite the extended coverage.
Fit is governed by the elasticated face opening and the integral mask, which together draw the front of the hood close to the face so no hair or beard escapes, while the shoulder-length skirt tucks under a gown, coverall or smock. The 49 × 53 cm cut is a one-size design that suits most adults, and the white or light-blue colourways match cleanroom, OT and food-hygiene dress codes.
