PE / HDPE gloves are very economical disposable polythene gloves made from embossed HDPE / LDPE film. WinHyCare supplies them as a loose-fitting, ambidextrous food-service glove for food preparation, catering and cleaning where staff change gloves frequently. They are a hygiene glove for short tasks, not an examination glove.

Why choose this pe / hdpe gloves

  • The most economical disposable glove — ideal where staff change gloves very frequently
  • Embossed polythene surface gives grip and stops the film sticking to itself when donning
  • Loose, ambidextrous fit slips on and off in seconds for fast food-handling turnover
  • Latex-free polythene film, so no natural-rubber protein allergy risk
  • Clear or blue options — blue is easy to spot if a fragment falls into food
  • Lightweight food-service / catering glove, supplied in very high-count bulk cartons

What are PE / HDPE gloves?

PE / HDPE gloves are disposable polythene gloves made by die-cutting and sealing a thin sheet of HDPE or LDPE film into a glove shape. They are loose-fitting and ambidextrous, with an embossed (lightly textured) surface that improves grip and stops the film layers clinging together so a worker can pull a fresh pair on quickly. At roughly 0.4 to 1.2 g per piece they are extremely light and by far the cheapest disposable glove available.

WinHyCare supplies PE / HDPE gloves specifically as a food-service and catering hygiene glove. They are designed for short, repetitive tasks where gloves are swapped between every product or station — making a sandwich, serving at a deli counter, plating food, cleaning a surface. They are a hygiene barrier against direct hand contact, not a precision or examination glove.

Loose-fit polythene — and what it is not

The defining feature of a PE glove is its loose, baggy fit. Polythene film does not stretch or conform to the hand the way vinyl, TPE or nitrile do, so the glove sits loosely with gaps at the wrist and fingertips. This is perfectly acceptable for food handling, where the goal is to keep bare hands off food and to change gloves often, but it is the reason a PE glove must not be used as an examination glove.

Because of that loose fit and thin film, PE / HDPE gloves offer limited dexterity and are not intended for medical examinations, clinical procedures or any task needing a snug, reliable barrier. For those, a closer-fitting vinyl or TPE examination glove is the correct choice. PE gloves earn their place purely on speed and very low cost in food and cleaning work.

Colours and grip

PE / HDPE gloves are offered clear or blue. Clear is the everyday default for general food service. Blue is the food-safety choice: because blue rarely occurs naturally in food, a torn-off fragment is easy to see and reject, which is why many food-processing and catering operations standardise on blue gloves throughout the kitchen.

The embossed texture stamped into the film does two useful jobs — it adds a little surface grip for handling moist or slippery food, and it keeps the two faces of the flat glove from vacuum-sticking together, so staff can open and don a glove with one quick pull even with wet hands. Sizes M and L cover most adult hands in the loose-fit format.

Applications and bulk supply

PE / HDPE gloves suit food preparation, catering and banqueting, deli and bakery counters, food packing, general cleaning and housekeeping, and hair colouring in salons — any setting that gets through a very high volume of gloves and needs them to be cheap and quick to change. They are not suitable for examination, clinical or fine-handling work.

WinHyCare supplies PE / HDPE gloves packed 100 pieces per bag, 100 bags per carton (10,000 gloves) — a high-count format built for high-turnover kitchens and food lines. Gloves are latex-free and supplied to ISO 9001 quality standards as a food-service consumable; no examination or medical-grade certification is claimed. Bulk cartons are delivered to caterers, food processors, restaurants and distributors across the Middle East, Africa and India — exported from our Dubai HQ and warehouse, with India service via our Hyderabad centre.

PE / HDPE Gloves — Frequently Asked Questions

Can PE / HDPE gloves be used for examination?
No. PE / HDPE gloves are loose-fitting food-service gloves, not examination gloves. The baggy fit and thin polythene film mean they should not be used for medical examinations or clinical procedures. For those, choose a vinyl or TPE examination glove.
What makes PE gloves so economical?
They are die-cut from a thin sheet of HDPE / LDPE film at roughly 0.4–1.2 g per glove, which makes them by far the cheapest disposable glove. That low cost is exactly why they suit high-turnover food work where gloves are changed very frequently.
Why are some PE gloves blue?
Blue rarely occurs naturally in food, so a torn-off fragment of a blue glove is easy to see and reject. Many food-processing and catering operations standardise on blue gloves for this food-safety reason. Clear is also available.
What does the embossed surface do?
The embossed (textured) finish adds a little grip for handling moist or slippery food, and it stops the two faces of the flat glove sticking together — so staff can open and pull on a fresh glove quickly, even with wet hands.
What sizes are available?
PE / HDPE gloves come in M and L. Because they are a loose, ambidextrous fit rather than a hand-conforming glove, these two sizes cover most adult hands in food-service use.
Are PE / HDPE gloves latex-free?
Yes. They are made from polythene film and contain no natural rubber latex, so there is no latex protein allergy risk for the wearer.
How are PE / HDPE gloves packed?
They are packed 100 pieces per bag and 100 bags per carton — 10,000 gloves per carton — a high-count format built for high-turnover kitchens and food-processing lines.
Does WinHyCare supply PE gloves in bulk across India, the Middle East & Africa?
Yes. WinHyCare is a Dubai-headquartered supplier and exporter; PE / HDPE food-service gloves are delivered in bulk cartons to caterers, food processors, restaurants and distributors across the Middle East, Africa and India — exported from our Dubai HQ and warehouse, with India service via our Hyderabad centre.
